Older paintings that just never felt finished make for the best underpaintings. Way back in the beginning of this art venture I thought I’d do a variation of word art with my paintings. It really didn’t stick at all, but I had this canvas of a beach painting with “Let Me Walk Upon The Waters” stenciled into the sky. I carefully scraped heavy body paint over the words, intentionally thinning it out just enough in sections that if you look close you can still make out part of those lyrics.
