Refresh #1 was the first in a series of discarded and misfit paintings that were revived and refreshed, brought back to life using the older painting as a base layer of color and composition, letting pieces of the original flower petals peek through while making each bouquet fuller and more bountiful with rich layers of loosely added acrylic, metallic, oil pastel and oil paint stick to add depth and contrast. 

Forever pushing myself to apply looser brush strokes for a more semi-abstract style using a variety of mediums, this collection is a playful study combining the two. The outcome left me with a collection of misfit florals turned abstract beauties that I am so proud of.
