Jacob’s Ladder is a mixed media painting with collage elements using gold leaf and dried paint skins peeled from the painters palette. The leftovers from previous artworks become the unexpected detail in current work. I love it because it’s unique, it’s interesting, and it adds unexpected texture.

This painting is sealed with a glossy resin finish. The resin not only makes the colors a bit bolder, it brings out all the tiny detail that tends to get a bit lost without it, providing the perfect glossy sheen.
