“Jacob’s Ladder II”

Jacob’s Ladder is a mixed media painting with collage elements using gold leaf and dried paint skins peeled from the painters palette. The leftovers from previous works become the unexpected detail in current work. I love it because it’s unique, it’s interesting, it adds texture and (excuse me while I nerd out for a second) it eliminates waste by re-using those paint skins. It’s my favorite collage element.
